A Brazilian man accidentally killed one of his colleagues while displaying his suppressed machine gun, LiveLeak reports.

Rodrigo de Moura Oliveira, 36, was arrested after he fatally shot 40-year-old Marco Antonio Nemer on the beach of Ensenada, in Guarujá, near the São Paulo coast.

Police are still investigating the matter to determine whether the shooting was accidental or intentional, but based on the video evidence it appears that it was an accidental discharge.

Police also believe that the suspect may be affiliated with the PPC, aka First Command Capital a known criminal organization.

Guns and booze don’t mix. Doesn’t matter if you’re a Brazilian criminal with a full-tilt boogie shooter or Joe Blow with a .410 single shot. The only too bad part of this story is that he took out someone other than himself. Then again, if his friend was also affiliated with PPC, maybe there is no down side.

What can noise suppression possibly have to do with the accidental firing of ANY kind of gun?
