Biden’s DOJ Bribing States to Adopt Gun Confiscation Laws

U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. and Congressman Alex Mooney issued a stern letter this week to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Office of Justice Programs (OJP). They demand accountability over accusations that the DOJ has manipulated the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to unlawfully fund ‘red flag’ gun laws.

The letter suggests the DOJ has corrupted the Act’s intention, allegedly incentivizing pro-gun states to implement gun seizure laws. This purported action appears to contravene the statute’s text, Congressional intent, states’ rights, and the Bill of Rights.

Passed by the 117th Congress, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act established the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program. The intent was to finance controversial Extreme Risk Protection Order programs, also known as ‘red flag’ laws, while maintaining strict due process.

Sen. Marshall and Rep. Mooney and 29 additional members of Congress assert that since the Act’s passage, no state has adjusted its laws to meet these due process requirements. Regardless, all states that applied for ‘red flag’ law funding have received it without upholding Congress’s imposed ‘due process’ stipulations.

The letter further contends that the Act was not designed to “require or incentivize states to adopt red flag laws.” Federal law prohibits the use of grants for lobbying to influence legislation adoption.

The letter cites Idaho, Montana, and Wisconsin as states without ‘red flag’ laws that have disavowed using grants to promote or enact such laws. These states are, thus, in clear compliance with the requirements established by the 117th Congress.

However, states and territories without ‘red flag’ laws, including Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Minnesota, and West Virginia, have received funding for such programs’ creation and implementation. Congressional members argue that this indicates the federal government’s attempt to coax these states into adopting ‘red flag’ laws.

Cited as evidence of this ‘federal bribery program’ is the case of Minnesota. After receiving a DOJ grant for ‘red flag’ law creation and implementation, the state enacted such a law less than 100 days later.

The signatories demand transparency from the DOJ and OJP regarding the allocation of funds from this program. They insist on knowing how states are receiving funds without having qualifying laws enacted.

The lawmakers’ inquiries detail specific grants, asking for clarity on the lawful purpose behind awarding these sums to states without corresponding legislation. They also seek clarification on the rules, practices, and criteria guiding the awarding of funds from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

The DOJ and OJP have been given a deadline of August 18, 2023, to respond. See the complete letter below:

“Legal” or not, it is 1000% unconstitutional. I have arrived at a place in life that whenever I encounter “Law” that clearly defies the constitution, I do not comply. Free men need zero permissions.

Another example of the federal government using our tax dollars to deprive U.S. citizens of their Constitutional rights!

Is this surprising to anyone? Biden has openly flaunted his flat ignoring SCOTUS rulings. Scotus shot down abortion and the free college schemes. Yet Biden has repeatedly attempted to circumvent the courts to force unwanted changes upon the people. EV’s are the biggest unwanted thing being forced upon us right now. This is a capitalistic society where consumer demand drives innovation and production. Biden has stepped in and pushed all the auto companies forcibly to create EV models. When this EV nonsense flames out, the internal combustion engine will still be standing. EV’s don’t work for many of us, and many more simply don’t want one. When it fails, I really hope the whole country finally sees the truth about this idiot president and his illegal schemes.

It should have been called the Partisan Democrat Safer Communities Blackmail Act

Ok when do we become the patriots this country needs. What else do they get to do before WE do something about it! Just keep bending over sheep’s and taking it. I lose more and more faith in the country I gave so many years defending. And I’m not sure if I knew then what I knew now if I would do it over again.

I never thought that I would ever see the day that our DOJ and FBI became the FSB, so sad that is now the fact of the matter. What difference is there between Biden and the DOJ/FBI and Putin and the FSB? Answer, NONE, and that is very sad. Guess this is what we get when Biden and son have been bought and paid for by the Chinese Communist party and leadership.
