Joe Biden on Wednesday released a statement in response to the mass killing at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia that left seven people dead, including the gunman, and six others injured.
“Jill and I grieve for those families, for the Chesapeake community, and for the Commonwealth of Virginia, which just suffered a terrible shooting at the University of Virginia this month,” said the president.
“We also mourn for all those across America who have lost loved ones to these tragic shootings that we must come together as a nation to stand against,” he continued.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night, when a Walmart employee, who was reported to be the manager, opened fire in a breakroom at the back of the store, according to The Guardian.

Police indicated the perp used a handgun in the attack. After killing and wounding the victims, the suspect took his own life. The entire ordeal only lasted minutes.
Biden suggested in his statement that more gun control is necessary to stop mass killers.
“This year, I signed the most significant gun reform in a generation, but that is not nearly enough. We must take greater action,” he said.
The “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act” is the legislation the president is referring to and it does all of the following:
- Incentivizes states to adopt confiscatory “red flag” schemes
- Expands background checks for adults under 21 which may create delays
- Makes changes to the definition of FFL, those “engaged in the business” of buying and selling firearms
- Broadens “gun trafficking” offenses that could ensnare unsuspecting citizens
In recent weeks the Biden administration also called on Congress to ban so-called “assault weapons.”
But in this instance, even if there were no black rifles in the U.S., the killer would still have been able to perpetrate the attack, as he used a handgun — not a rifle.
In fact, what may be surprising to gun controllers, including president Biden, is that handguns (not ARs) are the “preferred” weapon of mass shooters.
By the numbers, handguns were involved in 75 percent of mass shootings between 1982 and May 2022, according to statista.com.
That’s not an argument for banning handguns, as not only would that be unconstitutional, but it would also render the more than 22 million concealed carriers in this country defenseless in the face of evil; evil like that homicidally deranged individual who shot his coworkers in that Chesapeake Walmart.
What pointing out that fact is meant to underscore is the futility of a ban on so-called “assault weapons” as a means to stop determined killers. We can’t gun-ban our way out of this problem, despite what the president claims.
But we can do is make sure those citizens, who are willing and able, have the tools they need to fight evil when it rears its ugly head.

The purpose of the 2nd amendment as the court has ruled is to guarantee that “We the People” have a militia composed of able-bodied men capable of bearing arms that they themselves supply. The purpose of Militia is so that “We the People” enforce the Duty commanded in the original Constitution. The purpose of enforcing the Duty is to keep government in check, and to protect all our rights, including the individual right to keep and bear arms.
How difficult is this to understand, and why is it so difficult for supposed pro-2nd people and organizations to adhere to the constitutional proposition? First, it is incredibly difficult because 99% are ignorant of the correct reading of the Militia history, acts, and statutes. Second, most listen to groups such as the NRA whose best interest is served by losing battles to legislators and then having half baked decisions made on poorly devised cases. Third, when you explain it thoroughly to those who would listen, about 99% of them want nothing to do with the Duty that comes with protecting any of their rights.
Can you say insider trading? The feds do a lot of talking but have yet to confiscate one firearm. Odumbo was the best gun salesman in history. I would dare say that politicians own more stock in firearms manufacturers and electric cars manufacturers than any other group of people.
And yes Joe biden is the largest gun trafficker in history. We know those guns are coming back to the U. s. and killing American people.
It’s only a matter of time before your bolt-action rifle that has a ‘black stock’ becomes a ‘sniper rifle’. And ‘common sense’ dictates that no one needs a weapon that can be so destructive at long range.
Meanwhile back at the ranch more fully automatic weapons are sent around the world in the guise of peace.

Wonder if they’ll ever discover that the govt. is programming select individuals to commit these mass shootings via mind control techniques. Too many to just be a happenstance. Whether they program them or not, it’s sickening that every time it happens the Democrats start dancing in the blood of the victims before their bodies are even cold.
