At SHOT Show range day this year, GunsAmerica got a first look at the newest MP5 clones brought to the market by Military Armament Corporation.

  • James January 25, 2024, 5:13 pm

If these end up running right I’m in! I’ve got several HK’s but can’t quite stomach what they are asking for the SP5.

It’s perplexing the photographer staged a large box of 12 gauge shot gun shells in the same picture with 2 samples of this gun.

Guns and accessories usually sell less than the MSRP, so they will probably go for around $950.
Maybe not though. It will depend on how fast they sell at the $1100
    Mark.

I guess Peter hasn’t been on G.B. lately…Cobray costs quite a bit more than these…you can check it out right now. Whining about the price shit is old. If you can’t afford it then you don’t get one. Simple as that…I want 3 Corvettes…I have 1, because that’s what my means allow me to own. If you want better shit, get a better job and make wiser choices. Otherwise 1k for one of these (if they turn out good) is a steal.

    Beware of SDS Imports!
My experience with them was extremely poor. I purchased a Radikal P3 tactical pump shotgun directly from SDS Imports. I had inconsistent firing problems with the gun right out of the box. Light strikes. I returned the shotgun to SDS and they claimed it fixed and returned it to me. Nope. The same light strike problem continued.
I contacted them again via email (since they never answer the phone or return calls). Here’s SDS’s response to my email detailing the firing problem:

“Unfortunately, we are no longer able to service the AR-T02, Duo Sys, or any other models imported under the Radikal or Armaelegant brand names. SDS has exhausted all available replacement parts and cannot procure additional repair parts.
We strongly recommend seeking out a local armorer/gunsmith to see if they are able to assist, but the scarcity of replacement parts makes any sort of repair extremely challenging. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.”

In other words, screw you and we aren’t going to honor our warranty so your gun is junk sucker. SDS Imports literally stole my hard earned $!
I then contacted Radikal Arms in Turkey and explained the situation. Below is their reply:

“As mentioned before none of the guns imported by SDS imports are not Radikal made. They made use of our brand only thats why Radikal is never responsible for SDS imported guns. They buy the cheapest quality guns and frequently change brands. Their claims don’t cover any agreements or contracts.”

So according to Radikal, SDS Imports buys the cheapest quality guns and frequently changes brands.
SDS Imports is disputable and dishonest. Buy their crap at your own peril.

I think it’s a fantastic deal considering a vantage MP five is around nine to $13,000. It gives the shooter the experience to handle a a very popular platform.

  • Tug Bromberg January 24, 2024, 11:28 am

I don’t consider over $1000 to be “affordable” especially for us shooters on low or fixed income

  • Dan January 24, 2024, 10:56 am

Now if they made it in 45 cal. That would be worth it

    • Mark McFarling March 11, 2024, 2:34 pm

Cause one pistol round is that much better than another? Cause countless agencies have had issues with 9mm MP5s not bieng lethal enough??? As the SAS said about 9mm ” shoot them in the head and they drop immediately.

      • Dan March 15, 2024, 6:16 am

9mm is a toy round, made for the spray and pray group and is definitely not as deadly as the king 45

  • Gregory Speck January 24, 2024, 8:05 am

Where are they made? That’s the question.

    • Heavyguns31 January 24, 2024, 5:18 pm

I looked up M.A.C. and it comes up under SDS. Which is Turkish. They also have Tisas and Tokarov listed with them as well. All Turkish guns as far as ive seen them. Which may be just fine…maybe not…we’ll have to see how they run and hold up when they get here. I thought they were kinda acting “American made” but I don’t think so now. I’ve seen one custom gun company building 460 Rowlands on Tisas 1911’s. I wouldn’t buy one but they must hold together ok. (I did my Rowland on a forged Springfield)

  • Kane January 23, 2024, 7:33 pm

Too bad coming up with 1G is NOT the most difficult obstacle these days.

    • Peter January 24, 2024, 7:36 am

Maybe for you, it isn’t. But, for millions of people who are struggling to make ends meet, the only PCC they can afford is a Pretty Crappy Cobray

      • Kane January 25, 2024, 1:24 am

I live in a state where the Governor has banned .a myriad .22’s so regardless of what my financial situation is, I could NOT buy the MAC-5. I was never making a point of mine, or anyone else’s, financial circumstances. Instead the point was about the “millions of people” in my state that could never consider this purchase or countless other guns. My point was about the “millions of people” who with the wave of the pen are facing felony charges so next time spare me the misguided class warfare lecture.
