German WWII Gewehr 41 (G.41) Semiauto Rifle, 8mm – Excellent example of the G.41 Rifle, manufactured by Walther (designer of the gun) in late 1943- this is one of the last 1000 G.41 rifles Walther made before switching over to G.43 production in late 1943 (highest known Walther G.41 serial is 996b, this example is #48b)- Has integral 10-round magazine fed by standard 5-round stripper clips- gun is all matching EXCEPT the gas tube/front sight base, which is from an earlier Walther rifle (not uncommon with these rifles, due to the fouling caused by the Bang muzzle-trap gas system which required extensive soaking and cleaning to remain functional) - milled receiver cover and automatic dust cover- very smooth operating rifle in excellent shape, very little wear on metal or stock other than slight dings on stock and high-point wear on bluing- this rifle was only in production for less than 2 years before being replaced by the G.43, so good examples are scarce-
