You won’t find many Mannlicher S in this nice condition. Beautiful deep bluing, some of the nicest I have seen. Bluing approx 98%. Very fancy figure walnut stock, also in approx 98% condition. Both wood and metal show only minor handling marks. Bore and crown appear to be in perfect condition. Original iron sights in place. Comes complete with new Talley scope bases, and also a set of Conetrol bases. The barrel has a smooth surface rather than the more common spiral hammer marks found on most Steyr rifles. I do not know the history of this rifle, but it appears to have been fired only a little. Upon acquiring this rifle, I test fired it to verify function, and accuracy potential. It fired .8” group at 100 yds with Federal factory ammo (see target). Bore cleaned up very easily. The shiney spot on the photo of the front sight is a glare, not a defect in the bluing. 3 day visual inspection starting when your FFL signs for package.
