The gun prohibitionists misrepresented this highly effective self-defense ammo as being capable of piercing body armor due to being coated with Teflon or molybdenum disulfide. In fact, the proprietary oxide coating called Lubalox that puts the black in Black Talon is designed to protect the barrel rifling and nothing more. The proven effectivness of the Supreme Expansion Technology (SXT)of the bullet design has Winchester still producing it today minus the Lubalox coating. This 127gr +P+ is the hottest 9mm law enforcement ammo Winchester produced. The warning on the box reads "These cartridges are loaded to specifications which require higher velocity and higher pressure than conventional 9mm Luger cartidges.
