Non factory hand cut engraved and gold filled. Excellent original grips, clear 44.W. marking on left grip indicating 44-40 caliber. Clear markings. Smooth cocking action with some play in cylinder, would need a wider bolt to be tight as new. Functions even better with cartridge cases in cylinder. Nice smooth metal, and very clean cylinder chambers. Bore has all its distinct rifling with black powder roughness. 6" barrel, shortened from 7 1/2" in its time of use.
