Description: This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. C&R Licenses are acceptable, since it is almost 60 years old. From its exclusive home here in West Tennessee comes this attractive and serviceable Savage Pump Shotgun. Manufacturer was Savage Arms of Westfield, Mass., so marked on the left side receiver. Model is Springfield 67 Series C. From its B167000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1971 or 1972. Type is pump action repeating shotgun. Construction is steel barrel, screws, magazine, internal parts, trigger, and hammer, all built into a steel receiver with an alloy trigger guard. Buttstock and forend are American Hardwood. Chambering is 20 gauge, for 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably. Barrel is 28 inch, with standard smooth bore and .605 Muzzle diameter Modified fixed choke. This shotgun will digest steel shot and even slugs, but is not optimal for either of those loads. Sight is threaded alloy bead front, with serrated groove rear in the receiver. Trigger is .275 smooth faced steel, pulls two stage at 6 pounds pressure with substantial felt creep. Release lever is on receiver’s left side. Safety is top tang Mossberg type. Action is tight and slow. Magazine holds 4 rounds of 2 3/4 inch, or 3 rounds of 3 inch shells, so 4 + 1 fully loaded capacity on 2 3/4 inch. Magazine nose piece will detach from the barrel lug enough to drop a Mossberg type 2 shot adapter in, but the barrel is NOT detachable except by a competent gunsmith. Stock drop is 1 3/8 inches by 2 1/4. Length of pull is a very adult 14 3/4 inches from the trigger face to the end of the red WFS 1 inch recoil pad. Note that the pad heel does not follow the buttstock’s angle. Stock has a full 1 inch right hand cast, so this is not a southpaw friendly shotgun. Overall length is 46 1/2 inches. Weight empty is 7 pounds, centered at the breech face. Finish is polished surface blued steel, black anodized guard, and glossy stained hardwood. Surface detractions are moderate, with the bluing mixed with brown patina and moderate aging and scouring to the wood. We rate this shotgun as Very Good Condition, 75 to 80 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Replacement pricing on any US Made Shotgun is $300 or more. We’re offering the Springfield 67 in the photos, however, for only $159.00. Any ammunition or personnel in photos are Not included.
