The Remington Versa Max is a gas-operated autoloading 12 gauge shotgun that uses a self-regulating gas system to function with 2 3/4", 3", and 3 1/2" shells. The platform uses a rotating bolt head and a multi-port gas system to adjust gas flow based on shell length, reducing felt recoil and cycling reliably across a range of loads.
