We are offering for sale an Antique LONDON MADE Side by Side shotgun chambered in 12GA. This is a nice example with decoratively engraved lock plates and "London Fine Twist" barrels. The gun does have one broken hammer spur but functions as it is.
36 1/2" barrels are good with brown finish; Smooth bores show light surface wear; No deep pitting or rust noted. Ramrod is intact. Both lockplates show decorative engraving; Hammers resemble a fish with the right spur being broken. Gun functions flawlessly. The original stock is handsome without damage; No cracks or breaks. Trigger guard very good with decorative engraving. Small patchbox on underside. Sterling escutcheon without monoram. Original metal buttplate is good with age wear, discoloration.
