Manufacturer Description
Introduced in 2002, the Browning Citori 525 is a break-action, over-and-under shotgun in the Citori family offered in multiple grades and configurations (Field, Sporting Clays and Golden Clays). It was designed as the flagship sporting Citori series with features aimed at clay target competitors and hunters.
Factory features documented for the 525 series include a silver-nitride finished receiver with high-relief engraving on select grades, ventilated slim-line ribbed barrels (factory venting/porting on many 12/20-gauge models), and a full set of extended Invector Plus choke tubes. Stocks are oil-finished, European-style checkered walnut with a pronounced palm swell and a Schnabel-style forearm on many variants.
The Citori 525 uses a tang-mounted, manual thumb-operated safety that doubles as a barrel selector, and was produced in multiple chambering and barrel-length configurations (examples include 2 3/4" and 3" chambers and 28", 30" and 32" ventilated ribs depending on model).
