The Ruger SFAR is Ruger’s Small-Frame Autoloading Rifle chambered in 7.62 NATO / .308 Winchester. It uses CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower forgings, a cold-hammer-forged barrel with 5R rifling and a 5/8"-24 threaded muzzle, and an on-board 4-position gas regulator for reliable function across a wide range of ammunition and suppressed/unsuppressed use.
Factory configuration includes a free-float M-LOK handguard with a continuous top rail on some configurations, Magpul MOE SL stock and MOE grip, Ruger Elite 452 two-stage trigger, and it ships with a 20-round magazine. The SFAR is intended as a versatile modern sporting rifle suitable for hunting and target/sport shooting use.
