The Daniel Defense M4A1 Mil Spec+ is built around a 14.5" cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel in an M4 profile with a 1:7" rifling twist. It uses a carbine-length gas system with a pinned low-profile gas block and ships with a pinned & welded extended Daniel Defense flash suppressor (extends overall length to NFA-required 16").
A free-floating M4A1 RIS II rail system provides a continuous top rail and accessory real estate without affecting barrel harmonics. The rifle is constructed with mil-spec materials and finishes (Mil Spec +) and has an unloaded weight of 6.74 lbs and an overall length of 31.5 in – 34.75 in.
This configuration is the same M4A1 family offered to the U.S. military and is produced in the U.S.A.; the SKU in question is the Mil Spec+ CA-compliant variant.
