Built specifically for the .17 Winchester Super Magnum, the Savage is a compact bolt-action rimfire engineered for high-velocity varmint work and long-range rimfire accuracy. This configuration features a 22in matte-blued sporter barrel on a black synthetic stock, a user-adjustable AccuTrigger and a soft rubber recoil pad.
The action uses rear-locking lugs and cocks on close, and feeding is via a center-feed detachable rotary magazine that holds eight rounds (8+1 capability). The design incorporates thread-in barrel headspacing and a receiver provision for scope mounting (Weaver-style bases are supplied on production rifles).
