The Ruger SR1911 Commander (model 6702) is a Commander-style 1911 chambered in .45 ACP with a 4.25 in stainless barrel and bead-blasted stainless frame and slide. The commander-size configuration provides a shorter 7.75 in overall length for easier carry and handling while retaining full-size ergonomics.
Factory features verified for the SR1911 series include a dovetailed Novak® system (drift-adjustable rear), an extended thumb safety and oversized beavertail grip safety, skeletonized hammer and aluminum skeletonized trigger, titanium firing pin and a visual inspection port. The pistol ships with stainless steel magazines (Ruger states one 7-round and one 8-round magazine are included) and checkered hardwood grip panels.
The SR1911 Commander is offered in a stainless finish and is built in the United States. Its design and feature set make it suitable for personal defense and recreational/range use.
