The Ruger 22 Charger is a compact, magazine-fed semi-automatic pistol built on the Ruger 10/22 platform. Chambered in .22 LR, re-engineered Charger models feature a 10-inch precision-rifled, threaded barrel (1/2"-28) and a factory-installed Picatinny rail for mounting optics. The family ships with Ruger’s BX-15 15-round magazine and a detachable bipod for bench or prone shooting.
Introduced in 2007 and re-engineered in 2014, the Charger has an overall length of 19.25 in and a weight just under 3.25 lb (varies by stock material). Models are offered with laminate or polymer stocks and some configurations include the takedown feature.
