The Smith & Wesson Model 638 Airweight is a small-frame, lightweight carry revolver built on an aluminum-alloy Airweight frame with a stainless steel cylinder and barrel. This Bodyguard-style variant features a shrouded (small) hammer and fixed integral front and rear sights, and is rated for .38 S&W Special +P ammunition.
The 638 ships in a 5-round configuration with a 1.875 in barrel and a short overall length intended for concealed carry and duty use.
