Smith & Wesson Model 642 Deluxe Airweight is a small-frame, hammerless J-frame revolver chambered in .38 Special +P. The Deluxe configuration features a 1.87in stainless steel barrel on an aluminum-alloy (Airweight) frame, five-round fluted cylinder and rosewood-style deluxe grips. The 642 is double-action-only with an enclosed (internal) hammer and fixed sights (integral front, fixed rear). The pistol is a lightweight concealment-style revolver weighing approximately 15.0 oz and an overall length near 6.31in.
