Smith & Wesson 25-9 .45 Colt

Smith & Wesson Model 25-9 1955 Target Revolver serial #BFS1170, 45 Colt, 4" barrel with an excellent bore. This lovely condition early 1990's made gun retains about 98% original blue with most of the loss to light oxidation blemishes on the bottom of the triggerguard and a light turn ring on the cylinder. The .500" target hammer and .400" target trigger retain robust case-hardened colors with a few minor operational marks. The revolver is fitted with very Roper-like diamond checkered walnut grips that rate very good to excellent with light handling marks. The grips exhibit a small gap between the panels at the base that extend part ways up the front and the metal is proud of the grips along the backstrap. The revolver is fitted with white outline micro adjustable factory rear sight and Baughman ramp front sight. The 1955 Target models in 45 Colt have commanded strong prices in recent years.
