NOTE: May require special fitting by a gunsmith. Sometimes they will fit right out of the box but because the revolvers over the different years may vary they may not always fit correctly out of the box. 

New conversion cylinders by Kirst often need slight modifications to fit properly. Many gun owners can do the work themselves while others may require the help of a gunsmith. This is for Pietta models only

1858 Remington Konverters.  These Converters are to be Used on Steel Frame Guns Only.  No Brass Frames for These Calibers.

These are machined parts. There are no returns here with this sale. In the event of a poor fit you can either have a local gunsmith match to your gun or I will give you contact info of where to send both pieces to have them matched. 

Use only lead bullets with black powder or an equivalent low-velocity smokeless powder load in centerfire Kirst Cartridge Konverters. Do not use centerfire Konverters in brass framed revolvers, only .22 rimfire Konverters can be used in brass framed revolvers.

(.22 caliber rimfire Konverters can be used with these .22 caliber cartridges: .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle).

Note: “Cowboy Action Ammunition” are smokeless powder loads for target shooting, which are the equivalent of black powder rounds. This ammo is safe to shoot in conversions and pleasurable to shoot as well.

Please refer to manufacturers data and follow all safety precautions, we will not recommend any loading data as manufacturers change and update their powders and loading data frequently. Never use high-power or magnum loads.
