Manufacturer Description
The Browning X-Bolt is a bolt-action hunting rifle family built around a lightweight, strength-optimized steel receiver and a true free-floating, button-rifled barrel. X-Bolt rifles feature Browning’s three-lever Feather Trigger (adjustable from 3 to 5 lbs., factory pre-set ~3.5–4 lbs.), a bolt-unlock button that allows cycling the bolt with the safety engaged, and a top-tang safety with an integrated firing-pin block.
The X-Bolt uses Browning’s X-Lock scope-mounting system (four screws per base) and a removable rotary magazine that feeds rounds on-center; standard calibers use a four-round magazine while magnum/WSM calibers use a three-round magazine. Several X-Bolt models incorporate removable muzzle brakes, Inflex recoil pads, and other hunting- and precision-oriented features across the model family.
