The bayonet is in near new condition; the blade is free from damage or defect, has no edge or tip damage and has 100% of the original black phosphorus corrosion protective coating on both sides of the blade. The blade has never been sharpened and has an excellent edge. The hand grips are in excellent shape as are the bayonet clips, hilt and cross guard. The USM8A1 "TWB" Scabbard is in pristine condition as you can see from the photos. The webbing is in "like new" condition and has been well preserved. There is no damage or defects to the webbing, belt clip, throat plate, drag tip or body. This item is being sold in its "original condition" and has not been repaired or altered in any way and was purchased directly from the U.S. Government.
