All matching serial numbers. Manufactured in 1875. 1 of 1500 Samuel B. Lewis "L" inspected guns. This gun has the capital "C" stamped on the left side of the trigger guard for condemned. It also has a small "c" on the front face of the cylinder and inside of the frame where the firing pin meets the frame. There is also a capital "P" on the side of the cylinder (as well as the "L") and on the underside of the barrel (as well as the "L"). This gun is in great mechanical shape and operates perfectly. I have the Colt letter that show this gun was shipped to H & D Folsom Arms Company as all condemned military guns were. It does not have the U.S. stamped on the side. I am not an appraiser but you can see from the pictures that the gun has a nice gray patina with some original bluing and case hardening color left.
