The frame is a polymer, black in color. The slide is constructed of a Stainless Steel providing excellent strength and a very nice two tone finish. The SD9VE has been a very popular model year after year in sales and continues to be a good seller due to the reputation it has obtained. If you are planning on carrying concealed, the SD9VE is ready to go. The action used is a striker fired design, so there is no external hammer to snag on clothing. The lightweight design also helps to make this pistol a great concealed carry choice!
