The base weapon was a NIB Remington 870 Express Magnum 12 gauge pump-action shotgun - serial #AB180306M. This Serbu is from my personal collection and is in 100% perfect condition both cosmetically and mechanically. It has not been displayed, handled or fired since leaving the factory. All parts custom made for the Serbu Super Shorty's are CNC machined from the strongest alloys and TIG welded for strength and durability. The Super Shorty is currently in use with dozens of law enforcement agencies and military units worldwide and has encountered very few problems in actual field use under the harshest conditions. The Serbu Super Shorty is the most compact pump-action shotgun currently in service. The Serbu Super Shorty features; all steel construction ( which makes it heavier so the recoil is more manageable ), Mil-Spec black manganese phosphate finish w/ black checkered finger-notch storage compartment synthetic pistol grip and a swing-down spring-locked knurled solid steel fore grip which folds up tightly against the magazine tube when not in use -- the shotgun can be cycled with the fore grip in either the folded-up or extended-down positions. This Serbu comes factory equipped with a rear sling swivel stud. The stud is mounted on the upper left portion of the pistol grip and can be clearly seen in the photo of the left side of the Serbu. As the factory magazine tube cap is already drilled for the mounting of a sling swivel stud, you could quickly and easily add a front sling swivel stud and thus be able to utilize a shoulder sling. Having the ability to conveniently carry the Serbu concealed under a jacket with a shoulder sling adds another entire dimension to its potential applications. The Serbu chambers both 2.75" & 3.0" shells and holds two rounds ( of either size shell ) in the magazine tube with one additional round in the chamber. This Serbu also has the Choate Hi-Visibility magazine tube follower which does two things; first, it allows the user to tell at a glance if the magazine tube is empty, and second, the inherent self-lubricating properties of the synthetic material help to insure smooth feeding of the shells.
