This is the new AUG A3 version but has the offset picatinny rail as the AUG A3 SF version does. The "Special Forces" version as used by the Austrian Special Forces has the offset picatinny rail system and is in a flat dark earth color. As I understand it 25 of these custom color Austrian Special Forces units were put together and are available for sale but it seems most all have "disappeared". The Steyr Aug 5.56/.223 is the same length as our 10" SBR carbines but due to it's revolutionary design the 16" barrel and chamber are behind the trigger making for a more compact battle rifle. Trijicon 4x mounted on the integral picatinny rail is US Gov't issue and has a BDC (ballistic drop compensator) for the 5.56mm/.223 cartridge with crosshairs out to 800 yards with the red chevron reticle.. target at 600 yards? This is the US ARMY RCO ACOG and has a Tenebraex ARD (anti-reflective device), scope covers, steel cable turret retention devices, semi quick release torsioning nuts on a picatinny rail mount. On the SF 45 degree offset integral picatinny rail is mounted your CQB (close quarter battle) optic, a Trijicon RMR with an amber triangle reticle at 12.9 moa. This means at 100 yards the triangle would cover 13" which is perfect for close encounters from 5' out as the triangle is large allowing for fast target acquisition. RMR is dual illuminated with tritium for night use and ambient light amplifier for day use. Has two mounting systems and with the offset comes w/ high picatinny mount system. ACOG 4X is zeroed for the BDC at 100 yards and the RMR will be zeroed at 25 yards!
