It is a 20 gauge/.62 cal smoothbore which makes it pretty much a one-gun-does-all deal. Load it with a patched .600 round ball and it will take any game animal you might choose to hunt. Load it with shot and go for birds and small game. It has one of the most beautiful pieces of curly maple for the stock that I've ever seen. The tiger striping and the stain/finish combine to make it seem to glow with a rich honey color. Fit and finish is superb. The lock is by R.E Davis and throws a shower of sparks. Ignition is fast and very reliable. Furniture is browned steel. Barrel length is 41.5" and length of pull is 13.75" bare or 14" with sling installed. I'll also be throwing in a custom leather sling made with 6 squares of blackbear fur sewn on, a .600 round ball mold, cleaning jag, ball screw, patch worm, flints, wads, and a spare mainspring for the Davis lock.
