I had been seeing this gunsmith at all the major gun shows. I always stopped to talk or look until finally I told him what I wanted. His booth display of different pistols is very impressive. This piece is pretty much like the short barrel Colt “Officers” 1911 in .45. The frame and all parts are made in the U.S. He uses a lot of Wilson parts and recommends their manuals grease and lube. The barrel is 3.75 inches that’s about as short as I felt comfortable with as a daily conceal carry gun. I have run a few boxes thru it at the range and it performs as well as a 5 inch barrel Colt. I had the trigger pull set at 3.5 lbs. It is an easy pistol to carry because of it’s size. It fits comfortably in a shoulder harness or IWB. rear Novack site .
