The 27" barrels are of the chopper lump design, long heralded as the very best method of joining the barrels and utilized mostly in “BEST GUNS” from the likes of Purdey and Holland & Holland. The barrels are tight on the hinge and breech face, have mirror bores, tight ribs, 98% blue, and are choked Mod and Full with 2 ¾” chambers, complete with well-timed ejectors. The receiver retains 99% vivid bone and charcoal case color with hand chiseled borders and is in perfect mechanical condition with crisp double triggers, auto safety, perfect screws. The European Walnut has nice figure and excellent hand cut flat-top checkering. Wood to metal fit is outstanding and exemplifies AyA’s dedication to true craftsmanship.
